 Tarot

Tarot reading is the art and practice of seeing wisdom and guidance through a specific layout or spread of Tarot cards.

Tarot helps you make positive decisions for your life and for specific situations. It offers guidance and help when you feel stalled or stuck or just need more information. The cards give an awareness of what you already know deep within yourself. And so, they are a representation of your own inner wisdom.

They provide insights of your higher self and gives practical tools to move you onward.

 Learn theTarot Weekend

WORKSHOP

November 3rd ~ 5th

Roots to Wings Healing Center

Newberry, MA 01951

The Tarot Weekend is an extended plunge into the world of the Tarot.

Within the weekend we will experience where the Tarot readings live within ourselves and how to increase that knowing. We will look at types and kinds of questions, the kinds of spreads, and how cards connect to each other.

We will learn about the history of where and how the Tarot began.  Quickly we will move into the way and why of the cards.  More specifically the meaning of the suits, the numbers, the characters and the colors of the cards.  We will then calculate your own individual tarot card that is a guiding symbol for your life.

Aiding us to learn we will use readings, activities, experiences and practice readings to further move us into the space from which we read. We will experience the beauty of this art and the relationship between ourselves and clearing the baggage we all carry so to read more clearly.

We will intelligently continue to examine the way we live, how we spend our time, with whom we wish to share our life, and how that expands, clarifies, or contracts the space from which we read.

“Cynthia has the most amazing way of connecting with everyone she meets.”

I had my first Tarot reading with Cynthia many years ago. I'd never done it before, and initially, I wasn't too sure about the idea. After I met with her my feelings changed entirely.  She accesses a deep wisdom, and is able to safely guide you to the place where your own internal knowing is more available. This allows you to see what you are ready to see and provides a clarity of thought that can be translated into skillful action. Cynthia's words resonate, not only during the reading but often years later. I'm always left with the sense of having experienced deep healing.

Tarot 103

Develops your Tarot reading overall.

“Always showing me what I need to see without overwhelm or concern.”

Since my first reading years ago with Cynthia, I recognized a truly authentic and well honed gift contained in a remarkable human being. Cynthia’s seasoned readings are rooted in integrity, wisdom, grace, and intelligence of heart and mind. In our readings she has always connected with ease and clarity to a higher vibration, bringing back important messages that have validated my own inner knowing as well as illuminated corners of cloudiness and question. Her readings are vibrant and encouraging, honest and kind. In my experience, her ability is undeniably clear. And yet, what makes her Tarot so powerful is the great care and respect with which she holds a human spirit. I’m grateful to have found her and this medium which has been helpful in my life during times of question or much-needed support. I put my complete trust and faith in her, her gift and skill to read the messages through the lens of her generous heart.

Month Long Tarot Mentorship

Learning the Tarot is an art, a craft and a pathway.

During the Tarot mentorship we walk the landscape of the Tarot learning the logic of the cards and subtleties of the world in which we live. We learn as much about our connections to our own energy as we do the cards, their placements and the numbers they represent. Ultimately learning the ways of Tarot uncover the issues within ourselves.

The Details

Mentorship classes are 4 weeks long.  Each session is 2 hours and is small group work in expanding your ability to read the Tarot.  Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m. Class size is limited to 10 people. Each class is structured with an introduction lecture, participant practice reading and questions and answers.

What to Expect

Mainly what it is like to be a mentee is to return to beginner’s mind. Learning Tarot means the study of things, the inquiry of things and the desire to expand our knowledge from books, from meditation, from experience, from prayer and from our own unique purpose in the world.

What You’ll Learn

Specifically we will learn the logistics of the cards.  That includes what the suits, cards and numbers mean.  We will learn about the spread and placement of the cards and how they connect.  Then we will learn about the subtle world of our own energy, what are our feelings and issues so we do not confuse them into the reading for others.  We will learn that prayer and connection to the larger world is imperative.

 The Life of Death

Right now there is a shift in the way we think about death and the process of dying.

Along with that change, we are in a time of fear and stress around death and dying.  This change moves us to try to understand dying in more open and less fearful ways. The change also lets us look at death in new, broad, and more helpful terms. While we re-look at death we wish to add lost wisdom and helpful forgotten practices to help us heal.  We can use these insights to more gently ready ourselves for our loved ones and our own eventual passing.

During this workshop we will investigate issues around death and dying.  First we will look at and complete the logistics or mechanics surrounding dying.  They include; assigning and signing a health proxy, developing a plan if you are unable to speak for yourself, selecting advocates for yourself, what forms and summaries you need if you are taken to the hospital, completing a caregiver guideline document and completing a 5 Wishes Plan that allows you to fully state your desires for burial, services and last words.

The following day will include an experientially oriented class that provides an opportunity for participants to explore their own personal beliefs regarding death as well as how both family of origin and the present culture impact attitudes towards death, grief and loss.  Inevitably will we look at death as a teacher that gives us the opportunity for our own development both psychologically and spiritually.

A third session draws from research, experimental practices, cultural mores, story-telling, music and focused reflection to explore the mystery and meaning in dying and how it transforms how we live.  An awareness of death can be extremely valuable to living well and helps us live a reach and meaningful life.  This interactive session will use self-inquiry and small and large group discussions.  We will embrace grief and loss as a necessary fact of life and we begin to use the pain as a tool for healing for ourselves and others.

The Alchemy of Grief

In our minds we may recognize patterns of negative behaviors and destructive relationships, but in practice it can be extremely difficult to free ourselves from them. Through Systemic Constellations we become aware of the complex web of interconnection reaching into our present from generations past. Experiencing this interconnectedness so directly has an amazingly freeing and healing effect.
